CapillusRx® LASER THERAPY CAP
While it’s completely normal for most people to lose from 50 to 100 scalp hairs a day, some are unable to grow them back. This particular laser hat model is only available from a physician!
This may be due to reasons such as:
- Male and female pattern hair loss or androgenetic alopecia
- Alopecia areata
- Scarring alopecia
- Hereditary factors
- Hormonal changes – thyroid imbalance, excessive DHT production
- Physical trauma or traction alopecia
- Certain medical conditions like diabetes and prostate cancer
- Side effects of medications such as chemotherapy
- Nutritional deficiencies
The most common hair loss treatments include:
- Medicines such as Rogaine also known as Minoxidil and Propecia
- Hair transplant surgery
- Laser therapy
WHAT LOW-LEVEL LIGHT THERAPY OR LASER DOES
Laser therapy provided by the CapillusRx® is also called red light therapy because it irradiates photons onto the scalp. They are absorbed by the weak cells and encourage the hair to grow by stimulating better circulation.
CapillusRx® Laser therapy is also known to increase cell metabolism and the health of the blood vessels in the scalp leading to thicker and more durable hair shafts.
CapillusRx® Laser therapy can also stimulate the sebaceous gland giving the hair a silkier appearance. One other fascinating result of laser therapy is the increased production of melanin within the hair follicles which can darken gray hairs.
CapillusRx® Laser therapy is an established procedure that is safe and easily tolerated by most people.
One of the great things about low-level light therapy or laser therapy is that no matter the cause of your hair loss, the laser will be effective in stopping the signs of excessive shedding, thinning and if started early can treat balding. Low-level light therapy or laser therapy can strengthen hair follicles and reverse these signs of excessive shedding and thinning.
POSITIVE POINTS FOR LASER THERAPY FOR HAIR LOSS
- No side effects
- Strengthens the hair
NEGATIVE POINTS FOR LASER THERAPY FOR HAIR LOSS
- Medical insurance does not cover hair loss treatments.
- It is not as effective for those in the advanced hair loss stages as for those in the early stages. It is better to start the therapy early if you can.
- People taking photosensitizing medications should not undergo laser therapy. These include some antihistamines, coal tar preparations, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, sulphonamides, etc.
WHY USE THE CAPILLUSRX® LASER THERAPY CAP
You may be wondering why Dr. Kelemen specifically recommends this CapillusRx® cap as opposed to others. For a start, the CapillusRx® has 312 laser diodes and does not use LED lights, which is more than any other do-it-at-home device. This makes it more effective because it can cover a larger portion of your scalp. It can be used by both men and women because its universal size fits everybody. It has a flexible cap with a silicone lining, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
The CapillusRx® device has a high-capacity battery. The treatment protocol is shorter than many others. You will need to use it for just six minutes a day – this is about the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee!
An FDA-Cleared treatment that uses clinically proven, laser technology to help regrow thicker hair and prevent the progression of hair loss due to androgenic alopecia (hereditary pattern baldness) in men and women.
IF HAIR LOSS RUNS IN YOUR FAMILY, the CapillusRx® (formerly known as the Capillus312) laser hair growth therapy cap may be right for you. Capillus laser therapy can help reverse the process of hair loss in both men & women with hereditary hair loss.
CLINICALLY PROVEN & FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION CLEARED since 2007, the CapillusRx® is as a safe and effective treatment for hereditary hair loss (identified by overall thinning hair, a receding hairline, and pattern baldness).
Now, you can help regrow your hair at home or on the go with the laser devices previously available only through physicians.
MAXIMUM COVERAGE IS JUST 6 MINUTES EVERY DAY. With 380 times the coverage of the Ultra 82 model, comfortably treat your scalp with the flexible fitting CapillusRx® in the time it takes to drink your morning coffee.

GROWTH CYCLES OF HAIR:
This is known as the growth cycle. In this stage, the hair is in an active state of growth and this stage lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 years.
This is the second stage of a follicle’s growth phase and is the transitional stage where the hair follicle pulls away from the dermal papilla and the hair stops growing. The follicle is no longer being supplied with the new cells that it needs to grow. This stage lasts for several days.
This is the last stage of follicle growth. This is considered the resting phase of hair growth. At this stage, the follicle remains inactive, and the follicle cycles back to the anagen stage. Once the new hair shaft begins to emerge from the anagen phase it pushes the telogen hair out and the hair is shed from the scalp. This can last from 3 to 4 months.
People who are prone to hair loss such as those with androgenetic hair loss, they see their hair grow back from the telogen phase as weaker hair each time. They find that these phases become shorter and thus the hair is not able to grow as long.
It has been found that patients who use low-level light therapy or laser therapy are able to keep their hair in a longer growth phase and thus get longer hair and that when their hair does grow back from the renewed anagen phase, the hair shaft is stronger and healthier.
Patients will still see shedding but it is usually within the normal range of 50 to 100 hairs per day.
